It’s almost embarrassing that I am classifying this as a recipe because it was ridiculously simple and does not require a bit of “cooking talent” but regardless I wanted to share it because it was yummy and makes a great side dish or appetizer. We tend to order these when on the menu of any restaurant and when Trader Joes had them in a bag, I couldn’t resist. Husband approved (but then again he loves almost everything I prepare)! Just letting you know, not all shishito peppers are spicy, maybe one in an entire bunch, so have no fear!
1 bag or approximately 10-12 oz. of shishito peppers
1 club of olive oil
2 grinds of sea salt
Heat large pan over medium heat.
Add olive oil. Once glistening, add peppers to pan and pan sear until slightly charred, mixing often.
Place under broiler for more charring, about 5 minutes.
