Really, it’s healthy! I swear! Now who doesn’t like cookie dough? Well this is the no guilt version and it’s a great, healthier alternative to the original, fat, sugar and carb loaded one. Perfect satisfaction for a sweet tooth craving! Remember to make ahead because it needs to go in the freezer for a bit.
Healthy Cookie Dough
1-15 oz. can chick peas (garbanzo beans) rinsed and drained
1/4 cup almond butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of kosher or sea salt
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Transfer to freezer friendly container and stir in chocolate chips.
Place in the freezer for at least an hour.
Remove from freezer before serving, allowing it to thaw a while.
Eat as is with a spoon or top your fro yo, greek yogurt or ice cream with a big spoonful!
