Smoothie Bowl season is upon us and I thought I would share this one since it’s protein packed and possesses lots of added plant nutrients! I love smoothie bowls because eating one is like indulging in your favorite smoothie but with a spoon and lots of toppings! You gotta love the crunch from the granola! Yum! Almost like a healthy bowl of ice cream (well sort of). I tend to enjoy smoothie bowls more during the warmer months as I usually shivering by the time I am done consuming one! There are endless combinations and this one was heavenly!
1 frozen banana cut in pieces
1 cup frozen spinach
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 heaping tablespoon peanut butter (any nut butter is good)
2 heaping tablespoons non fat greek yogurt
3/4-1 cup water (any type)
toppings: 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1 teaspoon raw cacao nibs, 1/4 cup Cinnamon Granola (or your favorite store bought granola)
Place all ingredients into high speed blender and pulse until smooth and creamy.
