• Chocolate Chocolate Chip Banana Oaties

    IMG_5393

So after lunch the other day, I had this huge craving for something sweet. P.S. the newest addition to the “Oatie” family was born! Let me tell you, they more than satisfied my sweet tooth and even better, they contain no oil, no added sugar, and no flour! Each oatie is only about 60 calories too!

    Ingredients:

    • 2 large bananas, mashed
    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (I use organic)
    • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life)
    • 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut (optional)

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees

In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas. Add cocoa powder and coconut (if you are using). Mix well.

Add oats and chips. Stir until combined.

Using a 2″ cookie scoop, spoon cookies onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Flatten gently with a rubber spatula and place in oven for 25 minutes.

    Cool on wire rack.

    EnJOY warm or cooled!

*This recipe yields about 13-15 cookies. They are eaten pretty quickly here so I always double the recipe. You can use gluten free oats for those following a gluten free diet.
